Meet our Music Minister
 
   

There are opportunities for all ages to be a part of music ministry at Green Hill. Our Music Ministry offers preschool choir, children's choir, YouthSing, sanctuary choir, and Jubilant Singers for our senior adults.

"Praise the Lord. Praise God in His sanctuary; praise Him in His mighty heavens. Praise Him for His acts of power; praise Him for His surpassing greatness. Praise Him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise Him with the harp and lyre, praise Him with tambourine and dancing, praise Him with the strings and flute, praise Him with the clash of cymblas, praise Him with resounding cymbals. Preschool Choir is for children ages 4 and 5. The purpose of this group is to allow children to learn basic spiritual truths as they enjoy music and engage in fun musical activities. We sing in worship at Christmas, Easter, and late spring. Preschool Choir meets in the choir room on Wednesdays at 6:45 p.m. during school months.
  
                                                     
     
Children's Choir is for children in grades 1-3 and grades 4-6. The purpose of these groups is to lead children to experience God through music. We sing, move, play instruments, and enjoy a variety of musical activities. In addition, these choirs present a musical at Christmas, have a spring program in May, sing at Easter and other times during the year. Both choirs meet on Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m. during school months. Grades 1-3 meet in the choir room. Grades 4-6 meet in a nearby classroom.
     
 
   
YouthSing is a choir for students in grades 7-12. We sing frequently in worship on Sunday evenings and occasionally in other services as well. Our music is mostly contemporary, but we have been known to worship through a variety of musical styles. We present one or more special programs each year which incorporate praise and worship, creative movement, and drama. We rehearse Sunday afternoons in the worship center at 5:00 p.m.

The Sanctuary Choir is the primary worship-leading organization at Green Hill. We sing regularly on Sunday mornings in the 11:00 worship service and frequently in Sunday evening services. In addition, we present musical dramas and other programs at Christmas and Easter and special times during the year. We rehearse on Wednesday evenings from 7:40 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. in the worship center. Membership is open to all adults who sense God's calling to be a part of this weekly ministry.
 
     
Jubilant Singers is a choir made up of Senior Adults from Green Hill and several other churches in our area. We rehearse every Thursday at Green Hill Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. The third Thursday of each month we meet at 11:00 a.m. at Holland Avenue Baptist Church. In December and late spring, we minister several times a week in nursing homes and other adult care facilities. The group does not meet in January or the summer months. Membership is open to all Senior Adults.
