The Sunshine Group is a ministry of Green Hill Baptist Church that seeks to help Senior Citizens to live the good life described in Ephesians 3: 16-21, "I pray that He may grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man, and that the Messiah may dwell in your hearts through faith. I pray that you, being rooted and firmly established in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the length and width, height and depth of God's love, and to know the Messiah's love that surpasses knowledge, so you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do above and beyond all that we ask or think--according to the power that works in you--to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen."

The mission of our group is to show God's love in all stages of our lives. As senior adults, we desire to equip ourselves with educational and healthy patterns of living. We are happy to assist in different mission opportunities through our monthly programs. Our focus is sharing God's love through Christian fellowship, but we also participate in a variety of mission projects each year. Recent mission ministries that the Sunshine Group has been involved with include: Harvest Hope Food Bank, the Oliver Gospel Mission, the Green Hill Baptist Church Food Pantry, the provision of school supplies to needy children in various locations around the world, Baptist Global Response, The Karen and Ray Tanner Foundation, Camp Kemo, Martha Franks Retirement Home, and Healthy Learners.

Sunshine Group meetings are held monthly, from September through May, on the second Tuesday of each month at 10:45 a.m. at Green Hill Baptist Church. If you are a senior citizen who has a desire to fellowship in Christ-like love and to grow spiritually, learning to shine His light to all the world, we welcome you with open arms! God loves you, and so will we here at the Sunshine Group!
