Celebrate Recovery®
Each Thursday 6:00 - 8:30 p.m.

The purpose of Green Hill Baptist Church's Celebrate Recovery® program is to meet and fellowship with others to celebrate God's healing power in our lives. We do this using the eight recovery principles and the 12 Christ-centered steps. In the process, our Higher Power, Jesus Christ, is revealed and also His road to recovery which is laid out in His Sermon on the Mount.

The Bible clearly states, "all have sinned," (Romans 3:23). It is our nature to sin. And, because of sin we've all hurt ourselves, we've all hurt other people, and others have hurt us. This means each of us need repentance and recovery in order to live our lives the way God intended.

Unfortunately, time does not heal all wounds. The truth is, time often makes things worse. Time only extends the pain if the problem isn't dealt with. However, by working the steps and applying their Biblical principles, we begin to grow spiritually allowing us to become willing to accept God's grace in solving life's problems. We become free from our addictive, compulsive, and dysfunctional behaviors (Our Hurts, Habits, and Hang-ups). This freedom creates peace, serenity, joy, and most importantly, a stronger personal relationship with God and others.

LIFE HURTS! GOD HEALS!

Serenity Prayer
God, grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change; the courage to change the things I can; and the wisdom to know the difference. Living one day at a time; enjoying one moment at a time; accepting hardship as a pathway to peace; taking as Jesus did, this sinful world as it is; not as I would have it; trusting that You will make all things right; If I surrender to Your will; so that I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with You forever in the next.
Amen,

~Reinhold Niebuhur
